We parked the car in Friston Forest, walked to Charleston Bottom and then Litlington, where we walked along the Cuckmere River to Alfriston Church. We then headed up the South Downs Way to the hill above the Long Man of Willmington and continued along the Way past Jevington and then dropped back down to our car. It was approximately 16 kilometres.

December Dawns
I ended up going for an unplanned three hour hike with the dogs yesterday morning, as it was so lovely! The sun was shining, the ground frozen hard, so I could wear my walking boots instead of wellies. There was fog in both Pevensey and Rye Bays, which caused wonderful layers of misty colour on the horizon.
